What are FriXion pens?

The ink of a Frixion pen is erasable! Write, erase and repeat, that is the power of the Frixion pen.

The ink of this unique pen can be erased with heat or water.

Erase with heat

There is an eraser on the back of the pen, which you use to create heat through friction and make corrections easily. This is possible on any type of paper. Make sure your ink is dry before using the eraser for best results.

Wipe with water

When you use a Frixion pen in combination with stone paper, you can also easily erase the ink with plain (tap) water. Because stone paper is water resistant, you can easily erase your notes with water again and again.

User tips for the Frixion pen

  • 01. Don't make it too hot 🌶️

    Frixion ink is sensitive to heat! Do not place your Frixion pen and/or notes in direct sunlight or high temperatures. There is a chance that the ink from the pen and the notes you made will disappear like snow in the sun. Don't worry! Your ink has not disappeared, but has become invisible. Put your pen or your missing notes in the freezer and you will see that the ink has regained color.

  • 02. Happinote and the Frixion pen

    The Happinote erasable notebook is made of stone paper. The Frixion pen and stone paper are a golden duo! Because the stone paper is water-resistant, you can easily erase your notes from the erasable Frixion pen with water. Please note, only use an erasable pen to erase your notes. Pens with normal ink cannot be erased.

  • 03. More structure with color pens

    Add more structure and overview to your notes with the different Frixion color pens. Turn your notes into a party and add color!

  • 04. Give the magic some time.

    The Frixion ink has the great quality that you can erase it with heat or water. Because of this thermal ink, the ink dries a little longer than you are used to from a 'normal' pen. You can compare it a bit with the ink of a fountain pen. Once the ink is dry, you can worry-free rub the paper or turn the page without smudging your notes.
